About Wausau 525 Snowmobile Championship

The Wausau 525 Snowmobile Championship is proud to welcome the Pro Star Cup Tour and United States Snowmobile Association (USSA) Pro Star Racing Series to Central Wisconsin. The Pro Star Cup Tour is America's premier ice oval snowmobile racing series - an eight race competition across the U.S. and Canada.  The Wausau 525 Snowmobile Championship features Pro Champ 440 race classes both Saturday and Sunday in competition for the Pro Star Cup. USSA is the world's oldest snowmobile race sanctioning body who handles race direction, operations, race registration, tech inspection, insurance and safety. It all comes together in Wausau, Wisconsin with cool sleds and FAST times on the 110ft wide ice oval known by fans, locals and those everywhere on the race circuit as simply "The 525," named in honor and memory of Philip "Flip" Merwin #525 who lost his life in a snowmobile accident in 2003.

Racing to Help the Community.
Proceeds from the Wausau 525 Snowmobile Championship, July AMA Bikes and Quads, and August-Oh Fest all benefit Flip's Fund, the event charity to help critically ill children and partnering community organizations. We appreciate your attendance at all of our events as it helps us support more kids and their families again this year.
