The Wausau 525 Group, Inc. and the Wausau/Marathon County Parks Department have completed this year's phase of site improvements for the Wausau 525 Snowmobile Championship. Nearly four acres has been cleared and leveled to greatly expand the spectator viewing and concession areas. With the help of a grant from the Alexander Foundation, electricity has been brought into Sunnyvale Park which is going to allow for heated viewing and concession areas along the front straightaway. The electricity is also going to add a full area sound system with FM Transmitter for all the trailer and parking areas.
These site improvements will make the 2006 Wausau 525 Snowmobile Championship one of the most fan friendly races around.
